Hey guys! So i'm going to let you know now that if you send
a message to me, then i'll have to wait for Wednesdays to respond.
Anyways, turns out that my preparation day is today, so i pretty much missed
it... hahaha! So, i'll just give you a download on my first day! So, i said
goodbye to the family and my flight left at around 6:15 (am). Twas my first
time flying, so that was fascinating! Whilst on the plane, i sat next to a nice
lady (who is a member and served her mission in Chile) and her son jj. JJ
will be heading to Washington DC to get some gene therapy to treat and hopefully
cure his pretty much non-existent immune system. He's the 5th in the
nation to undergo the treatment, so I thought that that was cool! So, i got to
say goodbye to the rest of the family in Utah, as well as my great friend
Joshua Richardson, and then went into the MTC. I went through
orientation, dropped my suitcase off, and pretty much instantly got guided to a
classroom. My teachers are speaking only in Spanish, and that lesson
lasted for about 3 hours. Pretty stressful. I did alright with it I
think, it was mostly a bunch of basic stuff to start us out with. Later,
we had other classes and dinner. I've seen quite a few people that I know from
BYU in here, so that's awesome!! Well, I can tell from the first day that this
is going to be a pretty difficult 6 weeks, but it'll be worth it. My
companion Elder Steele is a pretty quiet guy, and super nice! I'll get some
pictures sent out next week. Well, I'm glad to finally be out here! It's
great to be serving the Lord!
Love you folks!!
