Usen Las Escrituras

Hola a Todos. Alrighty, this week was pretty cool. One fun thing that we did was that we made empanadas in the house of the Farías Family (The friends of Anibal, who has his baptismal date for this upcoming Sunday, pray for him please) I love working with the members in order to find people to teach, the vision of our mission is inspired. Also this week, we had a training meeting with President Teixeira (An area 70) and he taught us alot about how to work in different methods.  He talked about working alot, and working effectively also (Through the members of the church)
I think I´ve mentioned that it´s warming up here. Well, it was hot Friday, but then the climate changed Saturday, and it was freezing cold and pouring rain (The weather here´s insane...)  Almost all of our appointements failed that day which was fantastic (not).
But hey, despite the difficulties, I feel really blessed to be able to bless the people here (To the best of my ability).  Being servants of the Lord, people confide in us their problems and struggles that they are having, so that we can help them.
I can honestly say that the scriptures have come to be a great help and friend of mine here in the mission.  They are literally the word of God, and provide comfort and power in a way that we cannot with our own words alone.  We really need to make a grand effort to be familiar with the scriptures, and to have the wisdom in order to utilize them well. If we can do this... wow, we´ll be grander servants of the Lord, equipped with power!
Bueno, sé que esta obra es la obra de Dios, y que este Evangelio es suyo. Estoy agradecido por mi salvador, Jesucristo, y también por su iglesia, y la esperanza que nos puede traer.  Esta. Es. La. Verdad.
Hurrah For Israel.

Howdy! So, transfers came this week, aaaaaaaaaaaand..... nothing changed.  I´m going to have 6 more weeks here in Bella Vista with Elder Juzga, EEEEEEEEEEEEESAAAAAAAAA!!!!! This is our 3rd transfer together, and that´s unheard of here! But ya, it´s been an interesting week.  We got bikes this week, so we´re psyched.  It´ll be interesting not walking all over the area as much. We had Interviews with the President yesterday, so I got some great advice from him.  I loved a quote that he shared from Brigham Young, where he talks about how when he was called to preach the gospel, he felt a fire in his bones, and if he didn´t preach and share the gospel with all his might, that fire would consume him.  I want that fire constantly with me. I´ve felt it here in the mission, but it´s a hard thing to maintain constantly. I suppose it´s a thing for which we need to pray unceasingling, so that we shall be blessed with it.
Also, I was reading a bit this week in the book of Helaman.  And the chapter that really called my atention was chapter 5, when Helaman is sending his sons out to teach the Gospel. He speaks about how we should remember the names of those who came before us (In my case, Joshua) and we should also bring forth good works, so that others may look back on us and call us blessed.  All that we think and do has a consequence, so. we should think on this, and make a grand effort to be great.
I hope all of this made sense, I´m writing a little rushed, but just know that I´m grateful for this Gospel, this message of Hope, and for the Lord´s example that he´s given to us
Hurrah for Israel!!!!!

Un mensaje Poderoso

Hey, it´s been yet another solid week. We´ve gotten to know a ton of people during these last few days, and I´m grateful for the time I have to learn and grow, and to help other to learn and grow here.  This week, Elder Juzga was a bit sick, so we weren´t able to work for a few days this week.  Regardless, the work goes on.  We continue making the effort to find the people who are ready for this message! The Lord really rewards diligent efforts. We slowly (But surely) find more people, and we´ve been blessed to help many people here in Bella Vista get to know the Chapel (and obviously the beliefs of the church in general).
it gets a bit tiring sometimes when we have to drop people, for lack of interest, lack of keeping commitments, etc. But hey, the work goes on. I was thinking a bit this week in part of a verse that I read. It´s in Alma 35:15.  There´s a part that talks about how some were offended by the word. It makes me think alot in the words of Elder Holland when he said "Our´s is not a feeble message". this is the Church of Jesus Christ, this is the truth. It´ll be hard, but we have to bring it to the world. I love this message, and I´m grateful for my Savior and all the love he has for us.
Hurrah for Israel.

Hay Que Bajar la Caña

First off, what´s going on with everyone looking for pokemon in our area? The app came out last week here in Argentina, so now there´s a ton of people looking for Pokemon. I know more or less what it is, but ya, it´s interesting. Anywho, it´s been yet another good/Tiring week of work. Basically, we´ve decided that we need to "Bajar la Caña" or rather, we need to chastize a bit more.  We´re here to edify Zion, and to do that, the people need to learn to repent and change, so that the Lord´s kingdom here on the earth can progress. Sometimes, we talk a bit to much about the Faith, and the Faith is great! It´s just that it´s the first step.  The Prophets have always declared "Repent ye, Repent ye", because that is what is necessary. We need to change and use Christ´s sacrifice to bring us closer to God and farther away from the power of the Devil.
We´ve just got to remember that it´s never to late to change. As Rocky explains: "It doesn´t matter how hard you can get hit, it matters hot hard you can GET HIT, and keep moving forwatd, how much you can take, and keep moving forward... THAT¨S HOW WINNIN´S DONE!"
So, Let´s keep moving forward with this in mind (And without fear), always with a desire to overcome the adversary.
We´re on the winning side
Hurrah for Israel!

Mantengan el contacto

So, I´ve heard that it´s been pretty hot up yonder where I live in California - super interesting, because it started hailing on us yesterday... hahaha! But ya, it´s been yet another week, and this one was a lot harder than usual.  We haven´t been able to get many members out to accompany us on visits, so that´s been pretty rough (Since we usually prefer to do all our work through the members here).  But oh well, the week had its results as well.  Ezequiel came again to church, and he´s really getting edified.  The Gospel works, and he´s getting helped out. Also, just a shout out to my "Causas" Max and Logan, because we had a few Peruvians in the church as well this Sunday.
So ya, honestly, when the rough moments come (and they always come Helaman 5:12) we need to just keep doing the stuff we know to do. As Elder Eyring said before, "the pattern is simple, but not easy to follow". I don´t have any more new advice to give. The Gospel is simple. Ask of the Lord with a sincere heart, and if it´s according to his will, you´ll receive. Maintain the contact, and enjoy it.
Love you all, have a solid week.
